Before I begin with the topic for these 100 days I wanted to talk a bit about the format and my inspiration. My beautiful wife Happy began a Facebook posting daily called #Happys100happydays which gave me the idea of trying to do something for 100 days and then blog about each one. A lot can change in 100 days and I wanted to try this out but I did not want to use Facebook.
The reason why is my topic. 100 days of weight loss. I have never liked when people put their eating habits or workout routines on Facebook or Twitter because I do not care about how many miles you ran or biked or your caloric intake for the day. So I did not want to be that guy. Hence Blogging. If you want to read about it go for it but this way I am making it public without throwing in everyone's face.
Few things first. I am not a huge guy by my standards but I would like to lose as much weight as healthily possible in 100 days and what better way to document my journey than with a blog. So this is day 1. The format for each day is simple. I will highlight exactly what I ate so far at least. My workout for the day and every Sunday document my results in weight. I should take pictures as well but maybe next week. Few things as well. I do not work out on Sundays....I figured I should get one rest day a week and why not the Sabbath.
So how about a baseline. Today I weigh 221.8 pounds. I know I am a fat ass. My goal is to get south of 200 in 100 days... really my ultimate goal is 175 but I do not know how healthy 50 pounds is in 100 days. Who knows maybe it can be. As far as what I ate today....Nothing for breakfast....I know I should eat breakfast but I didn't. After church about two handfuls of almonds and then when I got home I had leftovers from Whole Foods which consisted of about three fork fulls of pulled pork, sauerkraut, half of one kielbasa sausage, wild rice with vegetables and a tall water. I know it was heavy on the carbs and fat but I need to kill those leftovers before they went bad. I will update on dinner and tomorrow's meals tomorrow. June 16th, 2014 hear I come.
